Codes are in constant transition of enforcement requiring that a building permit be obtained for racks over 5’9″ high. High pile permit is to be submitted when the top of of your loads are 12′ or higher. Both Building and High Piled Storage permits must be submitted and approved before any permits are granted to the building owner or tenant when your storage is over 12′ high.
